Why incident light measurements are sometimes wrong?

Post by David Quiles on September 13th 2013, 04:59

You can't expect incident light metering to work well without a white diffusion cup. Think about it, just because you are using the front camera doesn't mean you are reading incident light. You are just reading reflected light with the front camera. You can build yourself a white plastic diffusion cup and calibrate it in the settings screen. Every real light meter on earth need a white diffusion cup installed, with it the results are consistent and precise.
